Camagüey, July 14 – Under the title "Centenary of a Giant," Radio Cadena Agramonte launched a special project this Sunday from 11:00 to 11:15 a.m. dedicated to paying tribute to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, as part of its summer programming. This program features testimonies from people of Camagüey from different sectors who have had some connection with the Cuban leader's life.
Pedro Cruz Moiset, provincial radio director, explained that the program is based on the testimonies of the participants, with the goal of sharing their experiences and experiences close to Fidel, thus providing a personal view of the top leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The first broadcast featured the testimony of Enrique Atiénzar Rivero, who had the opportunity to be close to Fidel on approximately 12 occasions, either during journalistic coverage or in other circumstances that life has given him.
The intention is to maintain this space within the regular programming as a well-deserved tribute from the radio broadcasters and the people of Camagüey to the Commander in Chief, in commemoration of the centenary of his birth, which will be celebrated on August 13, 2026.
