Camagüey, July 14 – The Camagüey-based Beverage and Soft Drink Company (EMBER, for its acronym in Spanish) concluded the first half of the current year with satisfactory results, which were taken into account for its declaration as a Center on July 26.
The entity's general director, Liuven Veloz González, said that June closed with commercial production exceeding 500 million pesos, a volume that represents a 24 percent over-fulfillment of the plan.
He also noted that in terms of profits, the amount achieved reached 93 million, a figure higher than that achieved in a similar period last year.
This was possible thanks to a great effort by various groups, based on the prevailing electroenergetic situation and productive linkages with non-state economic actors to acquire raw materials.
It is worth noting the work of the Puerto Príncipe Rum and Wine and 23 de Agosto Soft drinks factories, which contributed to the good performance of the Camagüey’s EMBER in the first half of 2025. (Rodolfo Medina Hechavarría/Radio Camagüey) (Photo: ACN)
