Clinical trial continues in Camagüey with the fourth dose of Jusvinza


Camagüey, Oct. 10.- More than 200 patients from the Rheumatology clinic, belonging to the Manuel Acunse Domenech Provincial Hospital in Camagüey, benefit from the application of the biotechnological product Jusvinza for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, an irreversible chronic disease that erodes cartilage and bones.

Doctor Raúl Cepero Morales, a specialist at that health institution, explained that Cuba is carrying out a clinical trial to evaluate the effectiveness of the medication that has immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects in patients suffering from this pathology.

He specified that the disease debuts between 40 and 60 years of age and the treatment in the province is in the third phase.

Cepero Morales also highlighted that the fourth dose was applied this week and it proves to be a safe medicine.

The patient, Olga Lidia Tejedor Sánchez, stated that she hopes that her pain will disappear and she feels pleased with the work of the team of rheumatologists who care for her.
