Camagüey to participate in the International Cybersociety Congress 2023

Camagüey, Oct. 13.- Under the motto Digital transformation: global-local connection, the delegation of the province of Camagüey will participate in the third International Cybersociety Congress 2023, which will be held in Havana from October 16 to 20.

The representation of the Camagüey territory will show on a panel the results and experiences of good practices carried out in the last two years in the different sectors of society, in addition to presenting the progress in the challenge of the smart city, conceived for a segment of Ignacio Agramonte Street, commented Reynaldo Alonso Reyes, president of the Board and the Provincial Council of the Union of Computer Scientists of Cuba (UIC).

He added that with a focus on emerging technologies, the Citizen Innovation Laboratory project for culture in Camagüey and the MSME Moropo Surl will present the content on the innovation process carried out in the provinces through the Co-innova and digital signage Videre platforms. Pinar del Río, Camagüey, Mayabeque, Las Tunas and Cienfuegos.

In this edition, he said, the province will share work related to an inverted classroom model, which takes advantage of the potential of the Moodle e-learning platform to make a didactic arrangement and use it in the meeting class of the Electrical Education degree at the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz.

Another presentation will address the development of skills in managers of the Government and the tourism sector, so that the use of technologies contributes to the digital transformation and better management of the smokeless industry, said Alonso Reyes.

Cybersociety 2023 will allow, he said, the exchange of experience between scholars and researchers committed to the Cuban Digital Agency within the framework of the digital transformation policy. (ACN) (Photo: Archive)
