Business Group of Commerce promotes accessibility of banking services process in Camagüey


Camagüey, Oct 14.- The Business Group of Commerce (GECI) in Camagüey works on the accessibility of banking services process to guarantee better functioning of payment gateways and electronic channels, in order to respond to the needs of both economic actors and the population.

Ismel Barrios González, deputy director of Geci in the province, explained that the union's income covers almost 70 percent of the monetary commercial circulation in the territory.

He added that they have the Extra Cash service in around 165 establishments and several actions are being carried out so that workers have magnetic cards, a process that is 85 percent complete and should be completed before the end of the year.

The deployment of Virtual Bandec (Remote Banking for Companies) is another of the projections that today is gaining space in the Base Business Units where various operations are carried out from any terminal with Internet access.

Isabel Jerez Casas and Mileydis Céspedes Hernández, directors of Development of Retail Companies and Restaurants and Recreational Centers of the main city, assure that they are working on the deployment of Transfermóvil, one of the main complaints from consumers.
