Ramallah, Oct. 31.- The Palestinian government today insisted on urgent intervention by the United Nations (UN) and international organizations to stop the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, which caused thousands of deaths and injuries, as well as a humanitarian crisis.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the United Nations and other global actors to proceed “swiftly stop the genocide committed against Palestinian civilians.”
The absence of a power to guarantee compliance with the law and force perpetrators of crimes to stop committing them immediately would turn international justice into mere appeals, the entity stated in a statement.
The Foreign Ministry renewed its criticism of the UN Security Council, which this month failed to adopt a resolution to achieve a ceasefire and allow urgent aid to enter the territory.
He also condemned in the “strongest terms all forms of incitement practiced by Israel” and its various instruments that attempt to demonize the Palestinian people.
In that sense, he rejected the calls of the Government of that country for revenge without humanitarian or moral limits, and without any type of deterrence or conscience.
Benjamin Netanyahu's administration justified its bombings and its imminent ground invasion by using legitimate defense after the attack by the Islamic Resistance Movement, which caused 1,400 deaths.
But the Ministry considered that act as an extension “of the same colonialist mentality that the Palestinian people have always suffered from.”
The slogans and statements of Netanyahu, his cabinet and his Army are nothing more than justifications for killing more civilians and a license to destroy the Strip, he denounced. (Text and photo: PL)
