Camagüey, Nov 2.- With the objective of verifying the progress of the construction work and the maintenance of the equipment to provide optimal medical services, Federico Hernández Hernández, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province, exchanged with health professionals from the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital and the Ana Betancourt de Mora Maternal and Child Hospital.
During the meeting he learned about the completion and renovation of the most deteriorated areas and rooms, in addition to the projections for the construction of a neonatology ward with surgical rooms.
In this context, Hernández Hernández was concerned about the reorganization of medical services in the face of the deficit of resources that affect the quality of services and was concerned about the working conditions of the staff in relation to food, implements and the state of the sites.
Also during a tour of the Provincial Hospital of Camagüey, information was provided on the construction process of a new hemodialysis plant that is expected to be ready by 2024.
According to the center's directors, this new plant will have cutting-edge technology for the benefit of the population.
Doctors, nurses and technicians play a fundamental role in society, therefore it is important to make their work and dedication visible through the mass media, said Hernández Hernández.
