Najasa farmers celebrate Farmers Day with recognitions and achievements (Photos)


Najasa, Camagüey, May 8th. - The Rafael Guerra Vives Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS in Spanish), located in the municipality of Najasa, hosted the municipal celebration of Farmers Day, in recognition of its contribution to the rural development of the region. The cooperative has achieved outstanding achievements in the livestock sector, consolidating itself as a benchmark in this activity due to its remarkable performance.

Orestes Manuel Hernández García, president of the CCS, reported that the plans for production are being fulfilled and it is expected that this year they will exceed 174 thousand liters of milk and 45 tons of meat.

During the commemorative event, the efforts of the 65 farmers of the cooperative were recognized, who, despite the difficulties in resources and the challenges of the peasant sector, promote the development of genetic limits in the territory.

In this context, José Ramírez Cruz received the special seal for his outstanding sustained work. The delivery of this emblem distinguishes its significant contribution to the local economy.

In addition, the delivery of National Avant-Garde to some partners highlights their exceptional performance in agricultural production, in line with the achievements of other cooperatives in the country.
