Washington, Nov 10.- The president of the United States, Joe Biden, rejected the possibility of a ceasefire in Gaza, despite the barbarism committed by Israel in that Palestinian enclave.
Apparently this is the impression the president gave when a journalist approached him this Thursday before taking the presidential helicopter on the South Lawn of the White House.
The reporter asked what are the chances of a ceasefire in Gaza? to which he replied: None. No chance.
According to Palestinian sources, it is estimated that more than 70 percent of the 2.3 million inhabitants of the besieged Gaza Strip have already fled their homes, while the Israeli military command reported that operations are being carried out in the city itself.
Israel's war, declared on the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, entered its second month with more than 10,500 Palestinians dead, of which two thirds are women and children, health authorities in the enclave warned.
It is also estimated that another 2,300 people are buried under the rubble of that ruined territory.
Biden, who traveled to Illinois to meet with auto workers, also said that he remains optimistic about the release of the hostages held by Hamas since last October 7 and assured that we will not stop until we get them out.
In turn, he justified the attacks on positions of allied forces of the Syrian Army, because they hit us and he would do it again if they hit us.
In another of his comments, the occupant of the Oval Office dismissed polls that indicate a supposed advantage for former President Donald Trump in five key states, which could decide next year's elections.
According to Biden, the analyzes being carried out only take that of two media outlets (CNN and The New York Times), when eight polls indicate who is ahead in the undecided states.
At the same time, he underestimated the recurring issue of his age as a factor that could get in the way of his intention to continue another four years in the country's most important command chair. (Text and photo: PL)
