Camagüey, February 22.- The implementation of the 43 measures to strengthen the socialist state company, the monitoring of the hiring of producers and the investment process concentrated the exchanges of the last days of the Camagüey deputies in several companies of the Ministry of Industry Food in this province.

“Today's main task is to produce food,” a maxim that was reiterated in each space with the workers and the population, who gave their criteria, mostly favorable, on the sale of products in the sales points of industries in the Fishing and Meat companies of Camagüey.

Alternatives were recognized to guarantee offers, although prices are still far from what the people need, which is why compliance with the agreement is essential to reduce costs and reach the activity levels of business management.

In the tours, characterized by reflections and deep dialogues, the benefits of the Prodegan Livestock Development Project were alluded to, which does not report the expected values ??due to delays in the equipment assembly process and in some maintenance and repair actions.

However, the César Escalante Meat Combine does not stop, although it has been in operation for several years, as does the Raúl Cepero Bonilla Packing Base Business Unit, which is about to turn ten decades old, both groups visited on the day.

The work of innovators, cooperation work projects, the research portfolio, attention to workers and the use of installed capacities were other issues evaluated by the deputies of the Cuban Parliament.

They were also interested in the improvements in the Fishing Company after complex years due to the incidence of COVID-19, the economic siege and the difficulties with energy carriers, factors that reported losses of millions of pesos.

Although in 2023 this sector did not meet the capture levels at the industrial production level, they did not have difficulties thanks to the benefits of the business system and the linkages with non-state forms, as well as the historic achievement of more than 60 million fry.
