Camagüey National Buses: commitment and sustainability

Camagüey, March 23.- The daily work of the Camagüey National Bus Base Business Unit (UEB) group is a reliable example of the search for alternatives to maintain sustainability in interprovincial passenger transportation in the face of the decrease in technical availability and fuel limitations.

Despite the complex economic scenario that the country faces, the UEB of Camagüey is working on recovering cars to put them into operation based on the initiatives of mechanics, bodybuilders, electricians and other trades that make up the movement of innovators in that enclave.

Reinier Gómez Muñoz, director of the aforementioned UEB, explained that based on the experience of its members, they ensure a group of solutions to the problem bank that impacts this important service.

Currently, the manager added, there are about seven active routes originating from the city of Los Tinajones to important provincial capitals of the country, including Havana, Matanzas, Guantanamo and Santiago de Cuba.

Putting as many buses as possible into operation is not only a job for the mechanics brigade, but also the drivers of the UEB National Bus Camagüey with their own initiatives contribute to the solution of breakdowns that affect the technical availability of the equipment in an entity that maintains more than 60 percent of its fleet in good technical condition.
