Cuba: Venezuela has the right to an electoral process without interference

Havana, Mar 27.- The Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, defended the right of Venezuela to develop its electoral process in accordance with its Constitution, rules and electoral timetable, without interference, or impositions.

Through his account on social network X, the Foreign Minister expressed the rejection of the Caribbean nation to the reported attempts to resort to violence against the course of the process, in the context of peace and security for the Venezuelan people.

Authorities in Venezuela have denounced assassination attempts and the intensification of campaigns that seek to damage the country’s image, as it is heading for the presidential elections this year.

The Venezuelan attorney general, Tarek Williams Saab, presented on Tuesday evidence of a new terrorism plot and denounced how in less than a month alleged political party militants were identified in the planning of direct actions, which included the assassination of President Nicolás Maduro.

Saab assured that the people want peace and expressed that the most important thing is the call to remain calm to win definitively the democratic and peaceful struggle, and has nothing to do with violence. (PL) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
