In Havana delegates from Camagüey to the communist youth congress


Camagüey, April 2.- The 27 delegates and five guests of the Camagüey delegation are already in Havana to participate in the XII Congress of the Union of Young Communists (UJC), which is in session from today until April 4.

The first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the UJC, Heinier Lian Carvajo Baxter, reiterated confidence in the selected representation and pointed out the support of the Communist Party of Cuba during the farewell in this city and in the exchanges with the participants, the highest political and governmental authorities.

The young people from Camagüey, coming from different economic, political and social sectors, make up one of the largest delegations that participates in the event and arrive after several days of tours and approaches to current issues and interest for youth.

Peasants, workers in the sugar sector, legal, health, media, education, among others, and leaders of the vanguard organization, contribute to the variety of perspectives of the group to contribute to the national debates in the different commissions of work.

They will represent the children, adolescents and young people of the province in dialogues on issues of the internal life of the UJC such as the directive policy and others that go towards its external projection, such as participation in the economic life of the country and ideological-political work that includes the controversial digital social networks and the world of the internet.

In addition, a specific debate will arise at the event on the Comprehensive Policy for Children, Adolescents and Youth, which covers the topics of greatest interest and concern for the new Cuban generations.
