Camagüey, April 13.- Daisy Varona López, a dedicated psychologist from Camagüey, has chosen her profession driven by her desire to help others and her interest in understanding mental health, as well as human behaviors and reactions.
Currently it is an essential part of the Provincial Group for Organ and Tissue Procurement and Transplantation and provides psychological support to donors and their loved ones.
The most moving experiences of my career are tied to my work with patients suffering from chronic kidney failure. These individuals, dependent on life-saving procedures such as dialysis and hemodialysis, often for decades, embody extraordinary resilience and a fervent desire to hold on. to life, Varona López emphasized.
With more than 30 years of professional experience, Daisy has also taken her vocation beyond borders, serving for four years in Angola as a teacher at the 11 de Noviembre University.
Working with people and students from a different culture was enormously rewarding, it was a challenge that, without a doubt, deeply enriched me, she explained.
I deeply enjoy Psychology, it is the career that I chose and I am passionate about what I do. This satisfaction transforms into a drive to improve myself, which is reflected in the Doctorate that I am currently pursuing, approaching 60 years old, she highlighted.
My aspiration is to leave a legacy to the new generations, providing them with solid theoretical tools so that they can effectively support their clients, she stressed.
