Inés María Chapman Waugh, Deputy Prime Minister, together with the president of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, Engineer Antonio Rodríguez Rodríguez, visited the area to verify the improvements implemented and establish priorities.

At the Saramaguacán pumping station, Chapman, who is also a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, evaluated the condition of the machinery, whose performance is affected by its advanced wear and obsolescence.

The government delegation also inspected the local water treatment plant, with a processing capacity of approximately 300 liters of water per second.
