Camagüey, April 25.- The Base Business Unit (UEB) Assurance and Transportation of Camagüey’s Geomining Company was awarded the status of National Vanguard by the Cuban Workers Central.
Eduardo Peláez García, director of the unit, pointed out that the well-deserved recognition obtained is the result of the notable operational efficiency and the outstanding commercial performance in 2023, with revenues that exceeded fifty million pesos.
The unit has stood out for its commitment to the maintenance and repair of vehicles, as well as the production of electrical components and equipment, both technological and industrial.
In addition, Peláez García highlighted the positive response of the community to the services offered and the good reception of retail sales destined for construction, cleaning and other industrial sectors.
Lyan Alonso Alfonso, General Secretary of the Provincial Bureau of the Energy and Mines Union stated that the dedication of this team to national economic progress and import substitution establishes it as a model to follow.
During the event, the UEB Production brigade and ten workers were recognized, especially Gustavo Pons Vázquez, selected as the most integral with almost four decades of dedication to the group belonging to the Geominero Salinero Business Group.
