Santiago de Cuba, May 2.- Friends of Cuba today demanded the end of the genocidal blockade of the largest of the Antilles and the indiscriminate bombings against the people of Palestine, during an international solidarity meeting held in this city.

For the exchange in the Stained Glass Hall in Plaza de la Revolución Antonio Maceo, Juan Manuel Romero, member of the Energy 33 Union Bureau of France, met; Ronald Sais, representative of the German Metallurgical Union, and Francisco Javier García, president of Casal de Amistad con Cuba of Barcelona, ??Spain.

In his speech, Romero expressed that history has made Cuba a standard bearer of the Revolution of the humble and the exploited, he emphasized that this choice must be respected by all and described the international prohibition on exporting medicines and food to Cuba as a Crime Against Humanity. the Caribbean nation, imposed by the United States.

Juan Carlos Vaillant, delegate of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the People (ICAP) in this province, highlighted the bravery of the friends of Cuba in the face of the dangers they face when visiting a nation blocked by the greatest power in history and arbitrarily included on the spurious list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

The ICAP leader repudiated, on behalf of his institution and the people of Cuba, the genocide against Palestine and described it as a barbaric act whose main accomplice would be the silence of the people of the world. He also expressed that when talking about solidarity with Cuba , all the just causes on the planet are being included.

The final declaration of the meeting included the commitment of all foreign participants to write a letter addressed to the main authorities of their respective countries, so that they demand the end of the blockade of Cuba before the United States government and international institutions such as the United Nations. .

Niurka Bell, member of the Executive Bureau of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, in the concluding words expressed that this country will continue to challenge the brutal force of the blockade with more unity and solidarity, she assured that the people will win and with them all the just causes, because a better world is possible.
