Camagüey, May 31 - The delegation of the Working Committee of the Provincial Organs of the Communist Party of China of Anhui arrived at the home of the Jover-Sánchez family.
After having an encounter with the local history from the Agramonte Park that pays homage to the figure of the best local mambí, Ignacio Agramonte, they arrived to the neighboring house where Joel Jover and Ileana Sanchez, outstanding artists of the contemporary plastic arts of Camagüey, live.
There, they were able to enjoy the architectural values of a building dating from 1702, which belongs to the colonial period and preserves its original roof and infrastructure. In addition, they were able to enjoy the large collection of artistic pieces of universal, Cuban and local culture preserved by Ileana and Joel, and under a light drizzle they appreciated the characteristics of a typical Camagüey courtyard where the tinajón, a distinctive piece of clay of the locality, stands out.
Before leaving, Zhu Bin, Secretary of the Work Committee of the Organs directly dependent on the Party of Anhui Province, thanked the couple for the exchange, especially with a Chinese descendant, and recognized the value of their work and heritage.
