Havana, June 21.- The Hermanos Saíz Association, which brings together the vanguard of young creators in Cuba, condemned Israel's attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran in a proclamation.
"We extend our solidarity to the fatal victims and their families, to the writers and artists, and to all those whose realities are affected," points out the statement published on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Culture.
The document also urges Tel Aviv to end its policy of extermination against the Palestinian nation. "We demand that the genocide Israel is committing against the Palestinian people must cease now," it states.
Regarding the Israeli government's actions, the letter warns of the danger they pose to international stability and security, and therefore to the future of the planet and its inhabitants.
"Israel's aggressive policy, and the complicit support of the United States government, must end," the text emphasizes, also urging artists and intellectuals from around the world to unite "in the effort to halt the escalation of Zionism and fascism on a global level."
Both the Cuban government and several civil society organizations have expressed their rejection of the Israeli aggression against Iran and their concern about the possibility of direct US intervention in the conflict.
On behalf of Cuba, its Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement urging immediate international mobilization to halt Israel's military escalation and prevent direct U.S. aggression against Iran.
"Havana authorities reiterated their 'deep concern and alert regarding the imminent risk of an intensification of Israel's war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.'"
Also, according to the text, due to "the threat of direct aggression from the United States and the danger of the conflict turning nuclear or causing radioactive leaks with disastrous and devastating consequences for humanity."
