Camagüey, 24 Jun. - The Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC, for its acronym in Spanish) in Camagüey and its base delegations at the Cuban News Agency correspondent and at the newspaper Adelante, invite to the Nicolás Guillén Chronicles contest, in its fourth edition.
Students, professionals and other interested people resident in the territory, members or not of the UPEC can participate, including those who do not exercise journalism.
The theme is free. The texts, conceived for written press, can be unpublished or have been published, and will be presented in Arial 12 letter, with a maximum extension of sixty lines, and will be received at the electronic address direccion@adelante.cu
The contestants will accompany their stories with the following data: name and surname, private address, work or study center, identity card number, and a telephone number to be located.
The awards will be announced as part of the activities that UPEC usually carries out between 10 and 16 July, on the occasion of the anniversaries of birth and death, respectively, of the national poet and exceptional journalist, whose favorite genre was the chronicle.
