Camagüey, June 20 - The Enrique José Varona Center for Education Sciences Studies (CECEDUC) of the University of Camagüey celebrated three decades of existence, maintaining its commitment to a systematic and profound work that has been key in the enrichment of the educational process both at the provincial and national levels, as well as in the continuous training of Cuban professionals and those from other regions.
As part of CECEDUC's 30th anniversary, the inaugural conference was held at the Santa Cecilia Convention Center, presided over by Jorge García, director of the institution. This event was also an opportunity to highlight the work of those who have been part of the staff and who contribute every day to intellectual development.
The celebration was a perfect moment for various entities to recognize its role in the training of university professors and the establishment of numerous agreements with institutions in Europe and the Caribbean.
With approximately 300 graduates of its Doctoral Program, awarded the Award of Excellence by the Ibero-American Graduate University Association, and more than 700 master's degrees, CECEDUC is proud to have recently received the Carlos J. Finlay Order from the Council of State, in recognition of its outstanding work in teaching and research. (Text and photo: Thalía Massó Aliaga/Radio Cadena Agramonte)
