Camagüey, June 16 – The Municipal Administration Council and the Directorate of Labor and Social Security are working together to implement policies related to assisting individuals and groups in vulnerable situations.
This was confirmed by the Assembly of People's Power in Camagüey's capital during its last regular session, after debating a report presented by the Permanent Commission of Local Bodies on prevention and social care.
It was learned that, to this end, specific actions are being implemented to strengthen the care and transformation of individuals, families, and communities in vulnerable situations with an intersectoral and sustainable approach.
To accomplish this task, prevention groups have been created and approved at the municipal level and in the demarcations, where, for a working system, they meet at the beginning of each month.
With the aim of achieving the results required at this time, work is being done to complete the social workers' staff, with emphasis on the popular councils of San Juan de Dios, Centro, La Belén, Vista Hermosa and San Blas. (Rodolfo Medina Hechavarría/Radio Camagüey) (Photo: TV Yumurí)
