Vertientes, September 5.- With the beginning of the month of September, a new stage of planting various crops also begins, very positive for the economic development projections of the Camagüey municipality of Vertientes.
For this season, there are already more than 60 hectares planted thanks to the previous spring campaign and it will be decisive to increase efforts and alternatives to overcome obstacles and fulfill the agreements that plan to reach more than seven thousand hectares.
The Ruta Invasora Grain Agroindustrial Company, in charge of the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz productive center, located in the demarcation of the popular council of Jimaguayú, intends to complete more than 30 hectares pending in this important area at the provincial level.
A priority will be the programs already consolidated in the territory with crops such as banana, sweet potato, pumpkin, cassava and corn, in addition to other farmers who will return to the organic potato harvest and the tomato harvest.
Likewise, the work also takes place on the Santa Justa and La Vega properties, where a large number of productive units and independent farmers come together who pay a lot to the communities of the Ruta Invasora popular council.
Increasing cultivable areas, efficiently using the few resources that arrive, advancing in the planting of various crops with alternatives that allow the staggering of productions and stabilizing the marketing strategy with affordable prices constitute priorities of this cold season that culminates the February 28 of the next calendar.
