Camagüey, Jan 30.- Next to turning 38, the subsidiary of the Cuban Association of Agricultural and Forest Technicians (Actof) in Camagüey conferred for the first time the recognition Seal Green Consciousness to members that are distinguished by the formation and development of An agroecological and forestry culture in the new generations.
The producer and poet Guillermo Villavicencio Torres received the stimulus, who for several years has consolidated the project with the smell of keeping in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Sur, as well as the affiliates Yaisy Ruíz Pico, from Sierra de Cubitas and Heriberto Medina Pérez, who from the Green Consciousness Contest insists on the importance of the production and consumption of vegetables, vegetables, fresh condiments and the love of land.
When summarizing the work carried out in 2024, Odalys Marrero Vallina, president of the Actof in the province, explained that from the training the management of knowledge was strengthened in themes related to the environment, the protection of the flora and fauna, the Resilience, agroecology, among other issues.
Similarly, he commented that through the Green Consciousness Contest, more than 400 works aimed at environmental care were presented last year.
He also pointed out that in close bond with the State Forestry Service, more than 1,500 management projects were achieved with the objective of improving agroforestry activity, while different routes allowed to identify extension farms in the silvopastoral work.
Currently, he commented that the actf in Camagüey has more than 1,114 affiliates and in portfolio they have three projects for the search for international financing.
