Camagüey, March 12th - Natural and legal people affiliated with the savings bank branch located in the Lenin neighborhood feel relieved not having to travel to the city of Camagüey, about five kilometers away, to receive services from the financial institution.
This establishment, as part of the shift in the energy matrix, became the second center of the Popular Savings Bankto have solar panels for clean energy within a broad program, announced by Dania Vega Lasa, the provincial director.
The execution and assembly of this technology, donated by China, was undertaken by a brigade from CEDAI, a leading company in Cuba in the automation sector, an investment process also involving Copextel, Planta Mecánica, and the Camagüey Electric Company.
The solar panels will be extended to BPA work groups in Minas, Lugareño, Camalote, Vertientes, Santa Cruz del Sur, Jimaguayú, Sibanicú, and Guáimaro.
The director stated that the program not only reduces energy consumption but is also a tangible example of responding to the country's development strategy and will benefit the population by avoiding long waits due to electrical interruptions.
