La Paz, Feb 21st. - Former Bolivian President Evo Morales agreed Thursday to be a presidential candidate for the Front for Victory (FPV) party in the general elections on August 17, after losing the acronym of the Movement for Socialism (MAS). Morales served as president of Bolivia from 2006 to 2019.
"We are with brother Eliseo Rodriguez, national head of the Front for Victory Party (FPV), we have finally agreed to be together in the next national elections," he announced at a press conference in the town of Lauca, in the central region of Bolivia.
The agreement, signed between the former president and the leader of the FPV, establishes Morales as the only candidate for the presidency and that his companion will be agreed to resolve the issues of justice and economy in the Bolivian country.
We communicate to militants, sympathizers, the countryside and the city, businessmen and non-entrepreneurs, professionals and non-professionals that we already have the party to participate in this year's elections, as Morales indicated this Thursday.
For his part, Rodriguez said that the agreement signed with Morales has the good of the poor as its condition and aims to remove Bolivians from the deep crisis they are experiencing today. The time has come to tell the Bolivian people: again comrade Evo will return to the presidency of the Republic, he said.
According to the text, Evo Morales is presented as the only candidate for the presidency by the FPV side. Meanwhile, your company with a view to the ballot will be consensual to help solve the issues of justice, economy and others.
