Camaguey, Apr 21st. - Trade union leaders and a representative group of workers of the Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) in Camagüey held a volunteer working day in commemoration of May Day.
The activity was carried out on the self-consumption of the Cuban Worker’s Central (CTC), as a sign of support for food production and the strengthening of the labor community.
During the day, the participants focused on cleaning, cassava planting and recovering areas affected by marabou, thus helping to improve working conditions and boost local agricultural production.
This effort is part of the activities programmed by the communications union, which will also lead the commemorative march for Workers' Day.
In recognition of their commitment, a commemorative plaque was given to the ETECSA union session, in tribute to the organization and the workers stationed in its performance.
In addition, the commitment to participate in the May 1 parade was reaffirmed, under the motto "For Cuba, together, we create," through a working day of volunteer work that strengthens the ties of unity and solidarity between employees and the nation.
These actions reflect the spirit of collaboration and commitment of the workers and their leaders, in line with the values of the Cuban Revolution and their vision of building a stronger and more sovereign country. (Text and photos: Zenia Donet García/Radio Cadena Agramonte)
