Camaguey, Apr 25th. - This May Day as the 25th anniversary of the Concept of Revolution expressed by Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, the inhabitants of Camagüey will join with the firm conviction that, for Cuba, together we create.
From the different unions in the province, this commitment has been demonstrated through the call for the march for World Proletarian Day. During the previous days, voluntary work has been carried out focused on promoting agricultural production, including the planting of food, grains, vegetables and sugar cane.
The march is scheduled to begin early at the concentration points, culminating in Ignacio Agramonte Square. This event will be an opportunity to reaffirm the unity of the Cuban people.
Prior to the parade, various activities will be carried out, such as the delivery of decorations and recognitions to workers and labor collectives, blood donations and workshops on the history of the Cuban trade union movement. In addition, workplaces have adorned themselves with banners and propaganda alluding to the ephemeral, and have declared themselves ready for the May Day events.
The Pioneer parade is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, more than 130 thousand members, belonging to 15 unions, together with their families and the community in general, will participate in various activities to give color and meaning this celebration.
The march in the Agramonte’s capital will have the participation of 28 blocks, led by the Communications, Electronics and Computer Science union. During the tour, there will be a prominent moment in which defense civilians will close the march, providing an opportunity to demand an end to the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States and strongly reaffirm a resounding Yes for Cuba.
