Camaguey, May 1st. - The Plaza de la Revolución Mayor General Ignacio Agremonte Loynaz was filled with enthusiasm and meaning in the celebration of International Workers' Day. Thousands of Camagüey citizens gathered this morning in an act that symbolized their firm commitment to social justice and the progress of the country.

This event represented a strong show of solidarity, resistance and hope, reaffirming the community's commitment to the values of the Revolution and its determination to face together the challenges presented by the island today.

Under the motto "For Cuba together we create," the main objective of the event was to reaffirm the demand for the cessation of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States, as well as the exclusion of the island from the illegal list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

At every step, in every flag waving and in every voice singing slogans, those present made clear their position: Cuba is not alone, and its people continue to fight for their sovereignty and dignity.

The day was marked by the recognition of the labor groups that, in the midst of the difficulties, have contributed with effort and commitment to the overcoming of the country.

The participation of workers in voluntary work and solidarity actions reflects the spirit of those who, beyond the usual work, come together to build a better future for all.

From the streets and in the square itself, voices resonated today that confirm the firm conviction that the union of the people, the unconditional resistance and the will to perfect the revolutionary work will always be the guarantees of victory.

In an act full of symbolism, those present expressed their commitment to the defense of the homeland and to the continuity of the social work that has been bequeathed for generations.
