The Pentagon issues strong threat to Iran

Moscow, 1st. May.- The head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, has threatened Iran for its alleged support of the Yemen's Houthi movement.

"Message to Iran: We see your lethal support for the Houthis. We know exactly what you are doing," he wrote on his X account on Wednesday.

"You know very well what the US Armed Forces are capable of and you have been warned. You will pay the consequences at a time and place of our choosing," he added.

Hegseth's statement comes shortly after the Yemeni movement reported an attack, which resulted in the loss of a US F-18 fighter jet.

US bombing of the Yemeni movement intensified in March after President Donald Trump ordered a decisive and powerful military operation following the group's announcement that it intended to resume attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea headed toward Israel. (Text and photo: RT)
