Camagüey aspires to grow this year in grain production

Camagüey, May 3rd. - As part of the actions to comply with Law 148 on Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutrition Security, the municipality plans to grow this year in grain production.

The commitment made in this regard is to harvest about 1300 tons of this important line, despite the limitations of some resources, among these fuels and lubricants.

Of this volume, a total of 1137 tons of corn, more than 132 tons of corn and about 30 tons of rice consumption, are expected to be collected in the current calendar.

In explaining this strategy Yohan Balón Gómez, deputy mayor who serves Agriculture in the municipal government of Camagüey, considered that the goal is perfect to give birth to the expected sowing volume.

In this regard, he specified that the provincial capital territory will have more than 310 hectares of grains, among those already planted in the last cold campaign and those predicted for the current spring contest. (Rodolfo Medina Hechavarría/Radio Camaguey) (Photo: Internet taken)
