Camagüey, May 7th. - In the municipality of Camagüey, work is currently being done with the aim of continuing the implementation of the policy for attention to demographic dynamics.
For this purpose, 243 elderly and disabled persons are taken in the territory by the home social assistance service and in the five grandparents ' houses, certified by Public Health, partial payment is subsidized to 60 elderly persons.
In the same way, four nuclei of patients with chronic diseases that require, as part of their treatment, the use of air conditioning and lighting equipment, among others, are protected from the service of the payment of electricity consumption.
In the nursing home, nearly 100 older persons benefit from the total and partial payment; while they are favoured with social assistance, temporary monetary benefits, services and resources of about four 900 families.
