Camagüey, May 16.—The Sola Agricultural and Citrus Company, in the municipality of Sierra de Cubitas, successfully completed the potato harvest, one of its main activities. Currently, the company is preparing the soil for planting pumpkin, sweet potato, and corn, essential food crops in the province of Camagüey.
To ensure efficient and sustainable production, the company has adopted an approach based on modern agronomy, employing innovative land management and crop rotation techniques.
These practices maintain the fertility of the planting areas and help break pest cycles and improve soil structure, promoting healthy plant growth and reducing costs associated with phytosanitary protection.
They also contribute to boosting local production and reducing dependence on external inputs. Furthermore, this initiative fosters job creation and strengthens the agricultural sector in the region, promoting more balanced and sustainable economic development in the long term.
