
Havana, 28 may. - As part of the preparation for the Pan American Junior Games in Asunción 2025, the Cubans will compete in the Grand Moscow Rowing Regatta, a level event that will be held from June 4 to 9.
Five male contestants will seek to stand out in Russia: Leuder Suárez, Roberto Carlos Paz, Henry Joan Heredia, Adel Gutiérrez and Pedro Antonio González.
In the women’s sector, Ana Laura Jiménez and Natalie Morales will represent the island, with the intention of making their mark on this prestigious competition, which will also be attended by their coach Joan Manuel Paula and Ángel Luis García, president of the Cuban federation of this sport.
The Cuban team, which this weekend will have action in the national championship, will intervene in the single, four male pair and double female pair.
Cuba has been invited for the second time to the event, in which teams from the United States, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Australia, Brazil and the Russian hosts will also compete.
The Great Regatta will be held on the emblematic Moscow river and beyond the competition will be a key opportunity for Cuban rowers to refine their preparation for Asunción 2025, an event in which they will seek to achieve the best possible performance. (Text and photo: JIT)
