Santiago de Cuba, June 27th - The Cuban-Slovakian company Proxcor S.A., specializing in the production and wholesale marketing of cookies, wafers, and breakfast cereals, celebrates its sixth anniversary today at the International Fair Expocaribe 2025, on its final day.
Zuzana Skolárová, General Manager, told the Cuban News Agency exclusively that the entity reaches this anniversary with two brands, although the most well-known is the founding brand, Toco, for cookies and wafers.
The cookies can be made with vanilla, butter, chocolate, and chocolate with coconut, in sizes of 75, 150, 178, 225, and 500 grams (g), while the wafers, for now, can be enjoyed with lemon, strawberry, and cocoa-peanut flavor, in formats of 250 and 45g, she explained.
Skolárová also referred to the tocororo, toucan, crocodile, flamingo, and dolphin, the five brand attributes that accompany the label of their products, which can be purchased in stores, some micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with whom they have contracts, the private sector, and in hotel chains.
On April 15th, she noted, they launched cereals under the brand Guani, which includes chocolate balls and honey rings, and they are already working on a third line of corn flakes, although this last one has not yet left production.
The specialist revealed that for next year they will be immersed in a fourth area: pineapple colada, melon, strawberry and cola candies.
Proxcor is distinguished by its ingredients and the quality of its elaboration, said the General Manager, it does not have high levels of sugar and each product is designed for family enjoyment.
Over the course of these six years, it aims to become the leading candy producer company in Cuba and establish itself in the international market—a goal that is close to being achieved with the imminent start of its exports. (Text and photo: ACN)
