Florida Administration Council analyzed economic, budgetary, and social matters

Florida, September 9th.- For the next year, the municipality of Florida aims to operate with a state budget of more than 700 million pesos, with the purpose of supporting investments, salaries, and basic services for the population, based on the premises of increasing revenues, reducing the financial deficit, and achieving, as soon as possible, the status of a surplus territory.

This was reported by Florida authorities belonging to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy and Planning during the regular meeting of the Municipal Administration Council.

At the meeting, the proposed Draft Economy Plan for 2026 was also evaluated and approved as a preliminary step before the document is reviewed by the people's representatives at the upcoming session of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power.

Among the guidelines of the Economy Plan for the coming period, the importance of promoting linkages among different economic actors, utilizing installed capacities, and increasing production and service indicators stands out, as well as promoting projects for changing the energy matrix in budgeted entities.

On the same day, members of the executive body of the Government in Florida reviewed the results of the Summer Activities Program for the July and August period; analyzed the progress of the schedule for registering state-owned properties; and reviewed key aspects in the prevention and tackling of crime, corruption, illegalities, and social indiscipline in the territory, especially regarding the process of granting idle lands under usufruct.

Considering it a matter of high human sensitivity, the Municipal Administration Council of Florida ordered a case study of people who display wandering behavior in the area, with the purpose of implementing strategies for care, protection, family reintegration, and rehabilitation, according to local possibilities and with the support of entities and institutions located either inside or outside the region.
