Florida, September 18. - Workers and managers at the Leopoldo Rey Sampayo Children's Hospital in the municipality of Florida lamented the systematic loss of human resources caused by the exodus of professionals and other occupational categories to new forms of non-state economic management and other destinations.
"It is unfair competition where family, domestic, and personal needs imposed by inflation, coupled with the offer of tempting salaries in the private sector, have bled the workforces of healthcare institutions," emphasized several of the participants in the consultation on the Draft New Labor Code, particularly with regard to multiple employment, the hiring of human capital, and extraordinary payments based on performance per workday.
The Pediatric Hospital in the municipality of Florida currently has more than 160 vacant positions, primarily in the services area, and a job offer that seeks to attract as many healthcare professionals, technicians, and experts as possible.
Despite the complex situation, the members of the Board of Directors and other employees from different categories at this institution multiply their efforts every day, writing pages of dedication, humanism, a sense of belonging, and sacrifice in favor of the well-being and recovery of children and patients with end-stage chronic kidney failure.
