Camagüey, National Baseball Series, The Bulls, field, Cándido González Stadium, play

Bulls return to their field

Camagüey, September 22 - Having completed the first three subseries of the 64th National Baseball Series, the Bulls from this province return to their home field, Cándido González Stadium, to play against Mayabeque.

The five-game match will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, and the Camagüey team may use left-hander Dariel Góngora to seek their ninth victory of the championship.

The hosts from Ciego de Ávila weren't very kind in the previous match, winning from the second to the fourth games despite facing one of the two best batting teams in the tournament.

But the key to the failure in this duel against the Tigers was the pitching, a phenomenon that was known since before the first pitch of the event was thrown.

The Camagüey team is currently in eighth place in the competition, which also includes Santiago de Cuba, Matanzas, and Las Tunas in the elite positions.

Second baseman Eglis Eugellés maintains a good pace in attack with an average of 471, a department led by Santiago native Yoel Yanqui (500).

Yordanis Samón is just four hits away from the 2,500-hit mark in the National Series, a milestone only reached by Frederich Cepeda of Sancti Spiritus and Danel Castro, now retired from Las Tunas. (Text: Gilberto Rodríguez Rivero/Radio Cadena Agramonte Contributor) (Photo: Blanco Cué/ACN)
