Minas, Camagüey, September 27 - The Juan Vitalio Acuña Núñez primary school, located in the municipality of Minas, hosted a sensitization event as part of the fourth Prevention and Combat Exercise against Crime, Corruption, and Illegalities.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness among students about the risks of drugs and promote a school environment free from addictions.
The activity featured active participation from students, teachers, and art instructors. One of the central moments was a drawing workshop where children, using pencils and colors, graphically expressed their rejection of drugs. Their creations, later displayed in the center, served as a starting point for reflection and dialogue between students and teachers.
In addition to the workshop, educational talks were held by specialists who explained the serious consequences of drug use and highlighted the importance of making healthy decisions.
As a complement, group dynamics were organized to promote values such as friendship, respect, and responsibility.
The exercise not only reinforced the educational community's commitment to fighting against illegalities but also empowered students to become agents of change within their environment, spreading a clear and unanimous message: “No to drugs.” (Text and photo: Roilán Pérez Agüero/LA Voz del Bayatabo, Minas)
