Women's empowerment is a fundamental pillar for economic and social progress in Camagüey (+ Photos)


Camagüey, October 22 - The comprehensive empowerment of women beyond specific positions was the central theme discussed at the recent meeting of Women Directors of the Camagüey Beverage and Soft Drink Company. The event served as a platform to recognize their leadership and contributions in all areas of life.

Arianna Garcés Gómez, Director of Organization and Control for the company and one of the awardees, explained that this initiative is a key strategy for the progress and strengthening of the socialist project. “With the leadership and vision of my colleagues, we are directly contributing to this goal,” she stated.

Garcés Gómez highlighted the fundamental role of the company's more than 150 female employees in its financial results and efficiency. She particularly emphasized the contribution of the nine women who hold administrative positions and the 17 women who are part of the executive reserve, who are constantly learning.

During the meeting, which featured nine presentations, several lectures on vital topics for the company were awarded. These included: "Internal Communication as a Strategic Pillar," "Prevention and Continuous Improvement," the implementation of the corporate website, and the technical adaptation of a motor for packaging forming machines.

One of the most significant debates revolved around the challenges of growing up in the workplace while fulfilling the role of mother, wife and manager. Participants exchanged ideas and strategies for managing time and resources effectively, without neglecting household responsibilities.

The executive also highlighted the distinctive attributes that women bring to the workplace: "We bring a culture of attention to detail, diligence, and creativity to our tasks. We perform successfully in all areas, primarily in production, economics, human resources, and development."

In addition, the contribution of female managers in fostering values ??such as responsibility and respect, based on personal example, was emphasized. Likewise, their role in fostering collective unity and timely communication within work teams was recognized.

The event included guests from other food industry companies in Camagüey and provincial executives. Through an enriching exchange, the businesswomen shared their life stories and discussed some of the challenges women face in today's Cuban society.
