Camagüey Bulls face test in Matanzas

Camagüey, Nov 24.- The Camagüey Bulls managed to avoid a sweep against Las Tunas, but the result of the sub-series further diminished their already slim chances of qualifying for the national baseball postseason.

Yesterday, they managed to defeat the Leñadores 8-4, with relief pitcher Abraham Licea earning the win and rookie Edenis Cruz getting the save.

In that game, rookie Reynaldo Almanza hit his tenth home run of the tournament, leading that offensive category for the Camagüey squad.

With a record of 23 wins and 32 losses, any intention of advancing to the next phase crashes against a performance marked by a poor showing from the pitching staff.

The offense, despite certain inconsistencies in its effectiveness, maintains a good average, one of the best in the tournament.

Starting this Tuesday, a series against Matanzas will begin at the Victoria de Girón stadium in Matanzas territory, a very difficult matchup for Camagüey. (Text: Gilberto Rodríguez Rivero/contributor to Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: Internet)
