
Holguín, November 26 – Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, arrived today in the Holguín municipality of Mayarí.
The Presidency reported on its social media account that this is the president's fifth visit to the eastern region since Hurricane Melissa made landfall in eastern Cuba on October 29 as a Category 3 storm on the Saffir-Simpson scale (out of a maximum of five).
Mayarí was one of the territories severely affected by the rains, winds and floods caused by the tropical cyclone. (Source: ACN)
