Camagüey, December 11. - Given its importance, we are sharing in full on our website the Declaration of the Cuban delegation to the Peoples’ Assembly for Sovereignty and Peace in Our America.
The Cuban delegation participating in the Peoples' Assembly for Sovereignty and Peace in Our America wishes to publicly express its support for the Communiqué of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denouncing the blatant theft and act of international piracy that constitutes the assault and seizure of an oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea.
Our delegation condemns this new and extremely serious step in the escalation of aggression by the United States government against Venezuela, coinciding with the announcement of the so-called US National Security Strategy, which, 200 years after its inception, reaffirms the abominable Monroe Doctrine through the so-called Trump Corollary.
As the Bolivarian Communiqué states, the true objective of the imperial offensive against our sister nation of Venezuela has been exposed: the obsessive desire to seize its natural resources. This is a demonstration of everything this decadent empire, refusing to accept the irreversible advent of a multipolar international order, is willing to do to impose its agenda and interests against our peoples.
