Havana, Dec 15.- The Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) is making a new offer available to its customers for the Nauta Hogar Residencial service, with postpaid service.
Lidia Esther Hidalgo Rodríguez, Commercial Vice President of ETECSA, explained that a common request from users of this service is that when they have paid for a certain number of hours and do not use them, they lose them. With this new offer, they can accumulate up to 1080 hours.
She said that currently the most subscribed service is the one-megabyte plan with 40 hours, but 35% of people do not consume that amount of time. With the new offer, they have the possibility to accumulate unused hours.
She clarified that the option to recharge for those who want more service time within the month remains, as does the possibility of staying on the current plan. Those who switch to the new one must go to ETECSA's commercial offices.
The Nauta Hogar service began in the country in 2017 and today has 305 thousand households connected. In 2025, more than 18 thousand new services were connected. Currently, ETECSA has over 90 thousand pending requests for this service, with more than 48 thousand of them in process.
The limitations for expanding the service are due to the fact that the connection is made through fixed telephony, which has technical difficulties that are hard to overcome due to the country's economic challenges. (Source: ACN)
