Camagüey, December 24 - The Camagüey Beverage and Soft Drink Company is implementing a significant change in the energy matrix of its processes to guarantee operational continuity at its Basic Business Units, 23 de Agosto and Ron y Vinos Puerto Príncipe.
Ariadna Garcés Gómez, the company's Director of Organization and Control, reported that solar panels have been installed with the goal of gradually reducing dependence on the national electrical grid and maintaining the production of industries.
The micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) Renova is responsible for the installation and commissioning of this new technology, which includes a solar panels kit financed by the company itself, with a capacity of 3 kilowatts intended to support the socio-administrative area of ??the 23 de Agosto factory.

By 2026, it is planned to acquire a three-phase system capable of covering the production area of said industry. A 10-kilowatt system will be installed in Ron y Vinos Puerto Príncipe to support the socio-administrative area, as well as provide lighting for the production area and exterior zones at night.
These changes will ensure the blowing of containers and optimize the manufacturing areas, explained César Enrique Góngora Core, principal maintenance specialist of the Beverage and Soft Drink Company.

The use of renewable energy through solar panels not only guarantees the vitality of production processes, but also contributes to stabilizing the workforce that has faced constant disruptions due to the lack of electricity.
Garcés Gómez expressed his gratitude for the provincial government's willingness to facilitate the installation of these photovoltaic systems, in commemoration of the 67th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution and the centennial of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro.
