
Sibanicú, Camagüey, December 24 - This Wednesday, the municipality of Sibanicú was the setting for the provincial celebration of the 67th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, an event that also commemorated the centennial of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
In a day marked by unity and commitment to the homeland, the residents of Sibanicú reaffirmed their loyalty to the ideals of the historic leader of the revolutionary process that began on January 1, 1959.

The ceremony was attended by Walter Simón Noris, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Camagüey, and Jorge Enrique Sutil Sarabia, Governor of the region, along with other local leaders, representatives of political and mass organizations, and members of several sectors of society.
During the event, membership cards were presented to new members of the PCC and the Union of Young Communists (UJC). The Cándido González Morales Award was also presented to outstanding students from the Party Faculty in the province.
In this context, a group of workers from different organizations and institutions were also recognized for their outstanding performance and their unwavering contribution to local development.
Also, in an initiative promoted by the National Union of Sugar Workers and the National Secretariat of the Workers’ Union of Cuba, the status of National Vanguard Collective was awarded for the sixth time to the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC, for its acronym in Spanish) El Entronque, an emblematic center in agro-sugar production.

In his main remarks, Simón Noris highlighted the crucial role of the cadres and young people in consolidating the programs that guide the island's development. He emphasized the importance of the efficient operation of the Socialist State Enterprise and called for the unity and resilience of the people in times of great challenges.
