Moscow, Jan. 1st.- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the possibility of attacking Iran again in 2026 during his meeting with President Donald Trump, Axios reported, citing a senior official and two other U.S. sources familiar with the details of the encounter.
According to one of the officials, Trump would likely support a second round of attacks if Washington observes real and verifiable steps by Iran to reconstitute its nuclear program, although the point of tension will be agreeing on what "reconstitution" means.
During the meeting, Netanyahu outlined the state of the Iranian nuclear program six months later and conveyed Israel's concerns regarding their missile program, as well as Hezbollah's efforts to rebuild its long-range missile arsenal in Lebanon.
The U.S. official specified that Trump and Netanyahu did not agree on any concrete timeline, specific thresholds, or detailed understandings regarding potential future military action. (Text: RT) (Photo: Archive/Internet)
