
Havana, Jan 15. - A high-level commission, headed by members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party, welcomed the internationalists at the airport. They were conveyed the recognition of the people and the leadership of the Revolution for their courage in the face of imperialist actions.
Accompanied by the member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuban collaborators who were wounded during the recent acts of violence directed against the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, his wife, Deputy Cilia Flores, and the people of that sister nation, arrived on native soil.
Upon receiving them, the members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party, Corps Generals Álvaro López Miera and Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas, Ministers of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR, for its acronym in Spanish) and of the Interior (MININT, for its acronym in Spanish), respectively, conveyed to them the greeting, recognition, and affection of the entire people for their courage and fortitude in the face of imperialist aggression and for not allowing themselves to be defeated by threats.
Other party leaders were also present, as well as the head of the Ministry of Public Health, comrade José Ángel Portal Miranda.
The return of these compatriots represents the unity between both nations, cemented in the example of Commander Hugo Chávez and the Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and forged in the struggle for peace, sovereignty, and the dignity of Our America.
