Cuban musical duo Buena Fe releases anti-drug song

Havana, January 15 - The Cuban musical duo Buena Fe will release the music video "Para no caer" (To Avoid Falling) today on digital platforms, as part of the country's strict anti-drug policy.

Sponsored by the Multimedia Center of the Ministry of Culture (Mincult), the video premiered yesterday at the Miramar Theater, located in the Playa municipality of Havana, with high school students in attendance.

The video was directed by Claudio Peláez, who conceived it as an artistic proposal with a strong social commitment, focused on prevention and raising awareness through culture, the ministry explained on its social media.

This isn't a video intended to be a hit, but rather to raise collective awareness about confronting drugs, about this tragedy, and to show that mechanisms and tools exist for recovery, commented Israel Rojas, a member of themusical duo Buena Fe, in a video posted on the group's social media.

Ten young people in rehabilitation and doctors SailyDomínguez, Elizabeth Céspedes, and Yanisley de la CaridadMarzán, all members of the Adolescent Rehabilitation Center (CDA), shared their experiences with the audience.

The premiere of the video was also accompanied by a special performance by students from the National Circus School, Amanda Boggiano and Yosdanis Fong.

"Para no caer" (To Avoid Falling) is a music video that addresses a complex problem from a sensitive, honest, and profoundly human perspective, according to the Ministry of Culture's publication, which recognized art as an effective tool for prevention and future planning.(Source: Prensa Latina)
