
Camagüey, Jan 22. - The FrutasSelectas Camagüey Base Business Unit (UEB) stood out in 2025 by successfully meeting sales plans, thereby guaranteeing commitments made with the Ministry of Tourism and the demands of hotel chains. This performance was analyzed during a performance review led by William Guillermo DíazDueñas, General Director of the UEB, together with representatives of the National Management Council.
The presented report reflects positive results in economic, labor, and productive terms at the end of the year. The entity achieved total revenues exceeding 153 million pesos and net sales surpassing 174 million pesos, reaching 115% compliance. This translated into a final profit of 14 million 830 thousand pesos.
In the area of exports, the company particularly excelled in the sale of charcoal, achieving 101% compliance by exporting more than 900 tons, solidifying its position as a leader in this sector among the country's UEBs.
DíazDueñas emphasized the importance of Camagüey, as a province with significant potential, continuing to develop strategies to increase its sales plans, especially for key products for post-pandemic tourism such as fruits, grains, and vegetables. Furthermore, he stressed the need to diversify sales and optimize the production chain in a complicated economic context.

Looking ahead to 2026, the FrutasSelectas UEB has among its objectives increasing new businesses to capture foreign currency, guaranteeing compliance with the export plan - especially for charcoal and pineapple - and improving economic efficiency by strengthening accounting and financial processes.
